How to decorate a wall for painting with magnetic marker paints: ideas, recommendations, tips

General information

Magnetic marker paint is obtained by sequentially applying different components:

  1. Magnetic paint MagnetPaint. It contains metal particles with magnetic properties. It is these particles that subsequently ensure that images are attached to magnets. The paint is thick and dark gray in color. MagPaint magnetic paint can also be used separately if you need to create a coating with only magnetic properties.
  2. Interior water-based paint from any manufacturer. Regular paint is needed to cover the gray color of the magnetic coating. Marker paint doesn't have enough density for this. Water-based paint can be any color - white if you plan to use white marker paint, or tinted if you plan to use transparent marker paint (the main thing is that the markers stand out in the color you choose).
  3. SketchPaint marker paint. This is a two-component acrylic-based marker coating. Available in two versions - white and transparent. SketchPaint can turn any smooth surface into a marker coating. Notes and drawings can be easily erased with a soft cloth or whiteboard sponge.

Natural paints

What natural products can be used to draw on fabric or dye it at home? The choice is quite varied. You can take:

  • onion peel;
  • Black tea;
  • coffee;
  • berries;
  • orange zest;
  • greens (spinach, celandine, etc.);
  • beets;
  • brilliant green;
  • turmeric;
  • oak bark;
  • pine nut husks.

Such dyes do not contain chemicals, which is undoubtedly a huge plus. This is important for people with asthma or frequent allergic reactions.

They also have disadvantages:

  • weak tenacity;
  • rapid burnout;
  • difficult selection of products to obtain the desired color.

This is why natural dye cannot be called the best dye for fabric.

Application

The magnetic marker coating is created in several stages:

  1. Surface preparation. Mark the boundaries with masking tape. If there are irregularities, they need to be smoothed out using putty. After leveling, prime the wall with deep penetration primer and let it dry.
  2. Application of magnetic paint. To ensure strong magnetic properties, we recommend applying MagPaint in three layers. After applying each layer, smooth the paint with a spatula. Allow at least 4 hours between coats. The last layer should dry for 24 hours. You can buy magnetic paint here.
  3. Application of water-based paint. It is applied in 2 layers, according to the instructions on the package. Regular paint is needed to cover the gray color of the magnetic coating. Use white if you want a white magnetic marker coating.
  4. Applying marker paint. Pour component “B” (small jar) into component “A” (large jar) and mix thoroughly for three minutes. After this, let the mixture sit for 5 minutes until most of the air bubbles disappear. Visually divide the surface into strips 60-90 cm wide and apply paint in one layer from one edge to the other. Marker paint must be applied within one hour. SketchPaint dries on the wall within 3 hours. The surface will be ready for use in 24 hours. By following the link you can buy marker paint.
  5. Remove the masking tape and get to work or create! The magnetic marker coating is ready!

Unlike ready-made magnetic marker boards, the use of our materials has a number of advantages. You yourself determine the location and area of the coating, its shape (you don’t have to make a boring traditional rectangle, for example, in a children’s room you can make a circle or a diamond) and color (if you use transparent marker paint).

By analogy with magnetic marker coating, you can make a magnetic slate coating. It also has magnetic properties; you can only write and draw on it with crayons. Read about how to create such a surface here. And if you doubt whether such original coatings are right for you, look at examples of work and reviews from our clients!

Where do you need a wall with marker coating?

Children will appreciate a wall with a coating for drawing.
As mentioned earlier, marker paint is very popular when decorating:

  • conference rooms;
  • meeting rooms;
  • classrooms;
  • kindergartens;
  • school classes.

Such a wall successfully replaces the usual blackboard for writing and drawing with chalk. With its help, the space for completing school assignments or conducting art lessons is significantly increased.

Children in kindergartens are especially pleased with such walls. On such a wall there is enough space for collective creativity, regardless of the height and age of the children.

In an office setting, the convenience of a wall covered with marker paint is that employees do not need to constantly erase previously made drawings or drawings, making room for new schematic images.

At the same time, the clean surface is used as a screen, without requiring the use of additional devices necessary for viewing educational films or commercials.

Even in medical institutions, in patient rooms you can find walls with marker coating. They develop a plan for the upcoming operation or analyze already performed surgical interventions, show slides or other photo and video materials.

Marker test, or how we tested marker paints

So, it all started with the fact that we needed a large marker board for the presentation room. The original marker board was only enough to say good morning, and it couldn’t cope with our plans and flights of creative thought at all. In addition to the office, a couple of people from the team became interested in creating a creativity corner in the nursery, so testing marker coatings acquired the scale of not only a working moment, but also a personal interest.

Marker selection. Start

To begin with, we decided to decide which is better: a marker board or special marker paint.

— the product is quite new, but already popular. I didn’t have to think long: if you look at the coverage area, a can of marker paint from any manufacturer will cost less than a marker board of the same coverage area. The choice was made quickly - we will paint it. It remains to understand what.

How many marker coatings, how many colorful names...

marker paints for testing

: SketchPaint and SketchPaint PRO from the Dutch company MagPaint, Active Wall and Le Vanille from the Dutch Magnetic Company and 3 American paints in which the names of the coatings coincide with the names of the manufacturing companies - IdeaPaint PRO (IdeaPaint company), Sherwin-Williams and Rust Oleum. All these paints have certificates of conformity and are officially sold in Russia.

In order for the experiment to be pure, we were guided by the characteristics declared by the manufacturer, painted all the “experimental” coatings and compared the results. It must be said that we did not identify any serious differences between what was written on the can and what actually happened in any of the paints - there were no obvious fakes or hidden tricks of the manufacturers.

IdeaPaint PRO is sold in 1 liter containers, Rust Oleum - 0.8 liters, Le Vanille only in 0.5 liters, which is not very convenient. More practical are paints that have a large and small can depending on the size of the future marker surface: SketchPaint and Active Wall are sold in volumes of 0.5 and 1 l, Sherwin-Williams - 0.9 and 3.8 l, SketchPaint PRO - 1 and 5 l.

Catchers for colorful substances

First, we assessed the amount of harmful and dangerous volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in paints. Here the undisputed leader is MagPaint paints: SketchPaint has none at all (zero), SketchPaint PRO has 60 g/l.

The next group is paints in which the amount of VOCs ranges from 100 to 140 g/l - Active Wall, Le Vanille, Sherwin-Williams and Rust Oleum. In last place is IdeaPaint PRO: 320 g/l.

Preparation

Marker coatings

There are two types - transparent and white. Active Wall, Le Vanille, SketchPaint and IdeaPaint PRO are available in white and transparent versions. Sherwin-Williams and SketchPaint PRO are transparent only, Rust Oleum is white. If you don't want to add white to your interior, apply a clear coat. If you want the marker surface to be white and stand out against the wall, choose white paint.

Of the seven test paints, only SketchPaint PRO is one-component, the rest are two-component, that is, they require additional manipulations before painting.

Coloring

All paints are applied with a roller, SketchPaint can also be applied with a spray gun, and Rust Oleum can be applied with a brush.

In terms of area to be painted, SketchPaint PRO is in the lead with a more than two-fold lead - one liter of paint was enough for 14 m². Other “volatile and non-volatile Dutch” Active Wall, Le Vanille and SketchPaint showed a result of 1 liter per 6 m². The “Americans” have more modest indicators: Rust Oleum - 1 liter per 5.5 m², Sherwin-Williams - 1 liter per 5 m². IdeaPaint PRO closes - 1 liter per 4.6 m².

3 paints are applied in one layer - IdeaPaint PRO, SketchPaint PRO and SketchPaint. IdeaPaint PRO is difficult to apply: after 10-15 minutes the layer dries out, which makes it impossible to correct defects during painting. SketchPaint applies normally and takes 4 hours to dry. SketchPaint PRO is easy to apply and takes 3 hours to dry.

Sherwin-Williams, Rust Oleum, Active Wall and Le Vanille are applied in 2 coats. Unfortunately, all paints that are applied in 2 layers begin to harden in the can before the first layer dries, so even if you need to paint a small area, you will have to buy 2 cans. And if Active Wall and Le Vanille are sold in containers of 0.5, which allows you to buy 1 liter in total, then Sherwin-Williams and Rust Oleum have the smallest containers - 0.9 and 0.8 liters, which means that you you will have to overpay, and throw away the remaining paint, or paint large areas.

Oh that smell...

Three paints had a pungent odor that took a long time to ventilate: IdeaPaint PRO, Active Wall, Le Vanille. There was a medium odor with Sherwin-Williams and Rust Oleum, a low odor with SketchPaint and SketchPaint PRO.

Get to work!

All paints dry to a glossy surface, except SketchPaint, which has both a glossy and semi-matte finish.

If you painted with SketchPaint PRO, you can draw on the walls with a marker within 24 hours. If you used Rust Oleum or SketchPaint - after 3 days. The remaining coatings must be allowed to dry completely for 7 days, otherwise the marker will not be erased and you will ruin the coating.

Work value

The cheapest square meter of marker coating comes from Rust Oleum - 745 rubles, but this calculation is correct only if you spend 2 cans of paint, that is, paint 8.8 m².

Then a dense group in ascending price tag: SketchPaint - 1196 RUR/m², SketchPaint PRO - 1285 RUR/m², Sherwin-Williams - 1331 RUR/m², Active Wall - 1416 RUR/m², Le Vanille - 1498 RUR/m² m². The most expensive meter of marker coating for IdeaPaint PRO is RUB 3,591/m².

results

Based on the painting results, IdeaPaint PRO is inferior to other paints in almost all respects, including VOC content, area to be painted, and cost per meter of coverage. The only plus is painting in one layer.

Next come paints with similar results: Active Wall, Le Vanille and Sherwin-Williams. Among the advantages, we highlight the average VOC content, the average coverage area and the average cost per square meter. General disadvantages: applied in 2 layers, drying for 7 days. Active Wall and Le Vanille have a pungent smell, Sherwin-Williams has a minimum can volume of 0.9 liters, that is, the area that will need to be painted, so as not to throw away the remaining paint, is 9 m².

Third place goes to Rust Oleum. The paint has the cheapest square meter of coverage; in terms of VOC content, it is inferior only to SketchPaint and SketchPaint PRO. Rust Oleum has a medium scent, can be applied by roller or brush, and is completely dry in 3 days. We have already mentioned the disadvantages: it is applied in 2 layers, so you need to buy at least 2 cans of 0.8 liters each.

The winner for the office is SketchPaint PRO: the only one-component paint, applied in one coat, odorless and with a minimum of VOCs, the coating is ready for use in 24 hours.

Magnetic marker paint set

The downside is that the minimum volume of the can is 1 liter, which means you need to paint 14 m². This drawback is partially offset by the fact that the paint in the can does not dry out, so the leftovers can be safely stored.

The winner for the nursery is SketchPaint. Pros: no VOCs, a choice of 0.5 and 1 liter cans, application in 1 layer, odorless, dries in 3 days.

Our opinion

All the paints that took part in the painting coped with their task, and we received high-quality coatings on which we can draw repeatedly with a marker. The main thing is to follow the application rules and allow the coating to dry completely.

If you want the most budget-friendly paint, choose Rust Oleum. For painting large areas, the best choice is SketchPaint PRO. If you need to create a small marker coating, for example, in a nursery or in the kitchen, take SketchPaint: a 0.5 liter jar is enough for 3 m², 1 liter for 6 m².

Here is a test of marker coatings and our subjective opinion. Thank you for your attention!

Where can I buy?

Magnetic paints.

Which ones are better to choose and how to apply them correctly?

We have long wanted to test magnetic paints. But either there was no time, or something else got in the way. And then there were employees who had long wanted to make a magnetic wall in the nursery at home. It was as if they knew we would get to the magnetic paint tests and were patiently waiting for the results. Or they unobtrusively pushed him towards it. In any case, welcome: a review of magnetic paints based on practical testing.

What it is?

First, let's talk about magnetic paint. This is a base paint coating that contains metal particles - they create the effect of “magnetism”. Magnetic paint is applied to walls, floors, furniture and creates functional surfaces to which magnets are attached. Used in offices, public and creative spaces, children's rooms and educational institutions. On top of a layer of magnetic paint, you can apply finishing paint of the desired color or wallpaper, while the surface does not lose its magnetic properties.

Board vs Paint

At the beginning of testing, we decided to figure out what was more profitable and functional - a magnetic coating, a magnetic or cork board. I didn’t have to think long: paint, paint and paint again. The paint allows you to choose the area of the magnetic surface, its shape and even color. Of course, it’s faster to buy a board, but that’s where its advantages end.

List of participants

We have selected popular and proven magnetic paints in Russia. The testing participants were: Active Wall from Magnetic Company, MagnetPaint from MagPaint, Dupli-color from Motip Dupli, Tikkurila and Rust Oleum paints from the same companies.

The geography of coatings turned out to be extremely wide: Active Wall and MagnetPaint are produced in the Netherlands, Dupli-color in Germany, Rust Oleum from the USA, Tikkurila from Finland. Initially, Russian paint was supposed to be included in the review, but it did not pass the tests: after application, yellow spots appeared on the coating, and the paint, as it turned out, was rusting.

All coatings from the review are certified, comply with safety requirements for paint and varnish products and are officially sold in Russia. We just have to figure out their pros and cons.

Comparative analysis

Let us immediately note that we compared the results of painting test samples and the characteristics declared by the manufacturers. We didn’t find any significant differences, so feel free to buy the magnetic paint you like from official dealers and don’t be afraid that your expectations won’t match reality.

Tara-jar

You may ask: “What difference does it make what container the paint is sold in? » Significant, because for a home you need a small jar, but for an office a large one is preferable. Therefore, the more packaging the paint manufacturer makes, the better.

Tikkurila is sold only in a 0.5 liter jar - this is not very convenient even for homework. Rust Oleum's 1-liter jar is already better, but having no alternative is worse than choice. Dupli-color is better suited for the office: it is sold in containers of 1 and 2.5 liters.

The leaders are MagnetPaint and Active Wall coatings, which have 0.5 l, 1 l, 2.5 l and 5 l cans. You can choose the ideal volume for both a small wall in a nursery and a huge surface in a school or office.

Everyone is equal, as if by choice

Magnetic paints are intended exclusively for interior use, are single-component and do not require special preparations before use. Just stir thoroughly to evenly distribute the metal particles.

To attract magnets through a layer of finishing paint or wallpaper, magnetic paint is applied in 2-3 layers. When painted, the tested samples gave off a slight odor that did not require additional ventilation.

To create a magnetic marker or magnetic slate board, use marker or slate paint as a finishing layer. This will create a multifunctional coating on which magnets are attached and you can write with markers or crayons.

Excellence student

According to some characteristics, MagnetPaint magnetic paint differs from all others. It is applied both with a roller and a spray gun, the rest - exclusively with a roller. And only MagnetPaint can be diluted with water if necessary. These are far from the most important indicators, so let’s just note the fact itself.

Colored shelter

MagnetPaint, Tikkurila, Active Wall and Dupli-color paints are gray, Rust Oleum is black, and it is more difficult to hide under the finishing layer. If you want a black magnetic board, choose Rust Oleum; in other cases, other colors are more practical.

Layer by layer

Each layer of magnetic paint requires a certain amount of drying time. A layer of MagnetPaint and Active Wall paints dries for 4 hours, the third layer is left for 24 hours. With Dupli-color, the layer dries for 4 hours, the last layer is left for 6 hours. With Rust Oleum, each coat takes 30 minutes to dry and the topcoat is applied 4 hours after the third coat. With Tikkurila paint, each layer dries within 24 hours.

Total time required for drying when painting in 3 layers: Rust Oleum - 5 hours, Dupli-color - 14 hours, MagnetPaint and Active Wall - 32 hours, Tikkurila - 72 hours.

Rust Oleum is the sole leader, Dupli-color is also quite good. Tikkurila is an outsider.

Coverage area

The leaders in coverage area are Active Wall, MagnetPaint and Dupli-color. If you follow the standard instructions and paint the surface in 3 layers, one liter of these paints will be enough for 2 m². Rust Oleum and Tikkurila results - 1 liter per 1.5 m².

Name the price

One of the most important indicators is the price per square meter of coverage. MagnetPaint is in the lead - 1220 rub./m². In second place is Dupli-color - 1450 rub./m², followed by Active Wall - 1625 rub./m². Tikkurila - 1900 rub./m² and Rust Oleum - 1993 rub./m² close the price table.

The difference in price between the first and last places is almost twofold: this obviously does not count for Tikkurila and Rust Oleum paints.

Summarizing

Well, we bought magnetic paints, checked the characteristics, painted them under the same conditions and compared the results.

For work

Marker wall for work

Comfortable . Forget the boundaries of your old dry erase board. After all, it is very often missing, right? Forget about moving and rotating boards that everyone constantly trips over. Forget about a separate projector screen.

Modern . It is already difficult to find an office where there is no marker board. A few years will pass and the same can be said about the marker wall. Be among the first!

Stylish . Now the marker coating can be absolutely any color. Everything for your design!

You can use paint absolutely everywhere:

  • In a meeting room or conference room.
  • In the manager's office.
  • In the hall or corridor.
  • In the rest room or kitchen.
  • In warehouses and other technical premises.
  • On doors, columns, cabinets.
  • And of course, at your workplace, both on the table and on the wall in front of it.

Marker paint for walls: immense scope for creativity and 65+ best design options

Let's summarize.

In last place is Tikkurila magnetic paint. It takes the longest to dry (three whole days) and is also one of the most expensive. It is sold only in 0.5 liter containers, which is not very convenient for large-scale work.

Next comes Rust Oleum - the most expensive paint per square meter. Sold only in a 1 liter jar, it has an average coverage area. This is the only black paint, so it is more difficult to cover with a finishing coat. The only big plus is the drying speed. If labor time outweighs other considerations for you, Rust Oleum is an ideal choice: 5 hours to dry three coats, and you can apply the topcoat.

The next paint is Active Wall. Third place in price, sold in four different containers from 0.5 l to 5 l, painting time - 32 hours, coverage area - 2 m².

Silver from Dupli-color. Paint is in second place in cost, sold in containers of 1 liter and 2.5 liters, dries in 14 hours, coverage area is 2 m².

MagnetPaint is in the lead. Paint is in first place in terms of cost per square meter of coating - 1220 rubles / m². Like Active Wall, MagnetPaint is the best in volume (cans of 0.5 l, 1 l, 2.5 l, 5 l) - convenient for both home repairs and for an entire construction team. This is the only paint that can be diluted with water and applied with a spray gun. Drying time 32 hours, coverage area - 2 m².

Our opinion

Finally, let's express our thoughts. We made no mistakes with any of the foreign magnetic paints that participated in testing. The group of leaders turned out to be dense, and the top three Active Wall, Dupli-color and MagnetPaint were determined only by the combination of characteristics. We would like to highlight Rust Oleum - the most expensive, but also the fastest-drying paint.

Recommendations

Read our review and choose the magnetic paint that suits you best. The main thing is that whatever brand you choose, use interior paint and apply only to a clean, dry surface. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and you will receive a quality magnetic coating. Just like us.

This review is complete, thank you for your attention.

Magnetic slate coating in a children's room

There is creativity in each of us, and even more so in children! This is why many kids love to draw on the walls. “The interests of the child must be supported and developed!”, decided our heroes - young parents from the city of Tolyatti Antonina and Igor - and got to work. So they got a magnetic slate wall in their nursery.

A wall on which you can draw and to which magnets are attached is an ideal field for a child’s development. Here you can learn to write letters and read, create stories using pictures, and do logic and fine motor skills exercises using magnetic toys. And when the wall is not used for games or lessons, it can be used as a photo gallery by attaching family photos with magnets. Overall, a magnetic slate wall provides many uses and encourages creative ideas.

The little “customer” is very pleased that such an unusual object appeared in his room. And parents are glad that their baby actively uses the magnetic slate coating for his creative exploits.

The guys decorated the wall themselves. They say they did it easily by following the instructions on the jars.

Acrylic dyes

Dyes made from acrylic, water-based and pigmenting agents are what can be used to paint on fabrics made from cotton, wool and silk. Available options:

  • in a tube;
  • spray can;
  • in the form of a spray.

At home, painting on fabric with acrylic dye is very convenient.

Advantages of this type:

  • easy application;
  • long service life;
  • absolute safety;
  • ease of breeding;
  • absence of an overly strong odor;
  • a varied palette of colors;
  • formation of a protective indelible layer;
  • convenient release form.

How to make a design on clothes with acrylic dye? Very simple. You need to work with it in the same way as with gouache or watercolor - dip the brush into the paint and apply it to the fabric.

Magnetic marker paint for walls

They were especially pleased with the fact that the paints have no odor - this is very important for a child’s room.

Guests' opinions regarding the magnetic slate wall were divided. Many were delighted, but there were also those who were confused by the black color of the slate paint. But our heroes like the result 100%, and that’s the main thing! And for those who also consider black a gloomy color, let us remind you that slate paint is also available in a transparent version, which can be tinted in any color.

If this example has inspired you to create your own magnetic slate wall, we are ready to help make your idea come true! Please note that you cannot buy magnetic slate paint. To create a magnetic slate coating you will need two materials - MagnetPaint magnetic paint and BlackBoardPaint slate paint. You can buy them in our online store, and in this section you can read about the application features and watch a video tutorial on creating a magnetic slate coating.

Marker paint

is a paint and varnish material that is made on the basis of polyurethane, acrylic or epoxy-based resins.
As soon as the paint
hardens, it acquires the effect of a marker board, which is a solid and ideal surface on which you can apply any drawings, as well as write with markers. Moreover, drawings and inscriptions can be erased if there is a desire.

Such paint and varnish compositions are used not only for painting walls, but also for decorating furniture and other interior details. You can use a marker board as a movie screen for a projector, since the surface is wonderfully smooth and does not have the usual difficulties with insufficient tension for these screens. Also, a marker board can be a replacement for a chalk board. At the same time, unlike a blackboard, there will be no streaks or dust left on the marker surface.

How to draw on clothes so they don't wash off

Stick to a simple plan:

  1. Choose a suitable picture.
  2. Prepare everything you need for drawing.
  3. Refer to the Internet for instructions on patterns on clothing.
  4. Create/purchase a sketch of an image.
  5. Use copy paper to transfer the design onto the fabric.
  6. Color the image.

Discoverers of marker paint

Until recently, marker compositions were only suitable as an alternative to chalk boards, because from an aesthetic point of view, such paints and varnishes were not very suitable for interior finishing work.

However, a couple of years ago the problem was solved by the American company, whose professionals developed a paint suitable for covering walls with paint. The new product immediately found demand and found wide application when painting walls in office premises, children's and educational premises, as well as in catering companies and hotels.

Gradually, other companies mastered the technology. For example, the products of a company from the Netherlands - The Magnetic Company (a famous manufacturer of magnetic paints) - are in no way inferior in quality to American ones. At the same time, prices for Dutch materials are much lower.

The average cost of a set of marker paint today is approximately $150-200 (in ruble equivalent). One set is enough for approximately 6 square meters of coverage.

Where can it be used?

Almost all marker paints that the modern market offers cope with the task of obtaining a high-quality coating on which you can draw or write with multi-colored markers for many years. The key to success is following the rules for applying the composition with sufficient drying time. Using such coatings directly on the walls is a godsend for designers. Equipping a creative corner in a children's room eliminates the problem of painted wallpaper with furniture. The presence of a marker surface in office premises enriches employee interaction and makes it more productive.

Marker paint in the office

Marker paint in the nursery Pay attention to: How to paint metal products with spray paint in cans

Method of use

Use a coating painted with marker paint

, it is possible not earlier than 7-14 days after completion of work. If you do not wait for the surface to completely harden, attempts to draw something on it will only lead to the formation of scratches.

As we said, any drawings and inscriptions left on the marker board can be easily erased. To do this, you will need an ordinary napkin or sponge. But if more than 24 hours have passed after applying the inscription or drawing, the erasing process becomes very difficult, although it is also possible, due to this the paint cannot be called indelible. Moreover, during erasing there is no point in being zealous using physical force.

A special composition is produced for erasing, the use of which will make it possible to complete the task without problems and easily. You can purchase the wash in a set with marker paint.

Main! It is highly not recommended to use permanent markers for drawing and writing. For these tasks, it is necessary to use a special marker used for surfaces treated with marker paint .

Permanent fabric markers: how to use

Regular T-shirts without a pattern are boring. Who said that you have to accept this ordinariness? No no and one more time no! Pick up a marker and get creative! But the question is: what kind of marker can you use to draw on clothes? Of course, permanent.

Don't want any drawings? That's your business. You can leave some witty inscription on your clothes. How can you write on fabric? The answer is the same: with a permanent marker.

He contains:

  • alcohol;
  • resin;
  • paint.

How to use fabric markers? Nothing could be simpler. Imagine that in front of you is an ordinary white sheet of paper - and start drawing.

Painting work

Before marker paint is applied to the surface, the walls must be perfectly plastered or puttied. The goal is to achieve smooth walls. Moreover, before applying paint, the surface must be perfectly dry.

Instructions for using marker paint

in most cases they contain a clause indicating that it is not necessary to use a primer mixture. This is due to the high adhesive properties of this paint and varnish material. However, situations can be very different, and if painting with magnetic paint is also intended, then one or even a couple of layers of white primer mixture must be applied on top of its layer.

Before use, the composition must be mixed well. Painting is carried out in 2 layers using a paint roller or sprayer (if the composition is nitro-based). Moreover, each layer will need at least 12 hours to dry.

Coloring

Before applying the coating, level the walls
. To apply a marker coating to the wall, it is important to properly and efficiently prepare the surface for painting. The main task of the master is to prepare a perfectly flat and smooth surface.

If you can paint the walls yourself, then a qualified craftsman will help you apply several layers of plaster and finishing putty. If desired or having certain skills, all work related to leveling the surface of the walls can be done independently.

You can start painting only after the plaster and putty have completely dried. Paint does not stick to a damp wall.

Selection of composition

Below are some of the most popular brands from leading manufacturers:

  1. paint, designated Dry Erase, is formulated to give virtually any flat surface a dry erase effect. The positive quality of this paint and varnish material is the almost complete absence of a pronounced aroma. This means that this paint
    is applicable even in closed, unventilated areas. The Dry Erase set includes a pair of cans: one has a capacity of 236 grams, the other has a capacity of 561 grams. Likewise, the kit is enough to cover 2.1 square meters of surface with paint.
  2. Sketch Paint differs in its versatility. It can be used to paint not only plastered, putty, wood, iron and glass surfaces, but also water-based coatings (especially latex-based and acrylic). The paint and varnish composition is packaged in half-liter or liter cans. On average, material consumption is one liter per square meter of surface being processed. The composition differs in its rapid drying - after approximately three days (instead of the usual several weeks) you can already write and draw on the surface. Sketch Paint It is characterized by high density, due to which only one layer is needed for good paint coverage.

  3. Idea Paint Create Clear is similar in its capabilities to Sketch Paint
    , however, in addition to paint (a half-liter jar), the kit also contains a 400-gram container with a translucent hardener.

Paint the surface with marker paint

Every person can do it, even those who do not have special skills in construction.
The main rule is to strictly follow the instructions from the manufacturer. It is also recommended to consult with a manager to purchase paint with the required properties.

For study

Remember always white and dry hands from chalk, a constantly heavy rag that you have to run around and wash, as well as creaking and non-writing chalk? Multi-colored crayons were generally very rare. Believe me, almost nothing has changed in schools and institutes now.

So let your children, schoolchildren and students study in the 21st century:
