This type of paint is sold at a low cost and is the cheapest compared to other existing types of coatings. It uses plain water as a solvent, for this reason there is almost no smell, and it does not take much time to dry completely.
The production of water-based paint is carried out mainly from PVA or acrylic resins. It does not absorb dirt and is easily washed off. However, it is forbidden to use it in rooms with high levels of moisture.
How to paint a surface with uneven surfaces in an apartment?

Preparation
Before painting the walls in the apartment, it is necessary to prepare the surface for applying future decor. To do this, you need to remove the remnants of the previous finish.
If wallpaper was previously pasted, you need to get rid of it. Just spray them with water from a spray bottle, wait a little - they will come off easily. Oil-based compounds are removed in one of three ways:

- By heating. The paint layer is softened with a hair dryer.
- Mechanically. You can use a sander, a wire brush or a regular spatula. You will have to work in a respirator, as there will be a lot of dust.

Painting walls without leveling means that the labor-intensive stage of work to bring their surface to perfection will be skipped. This is true, but something still needs to be done.
Texture
Experts recommend paying attention first of all to texture paint. It is a mixture of water-based paint with special additives, which include large particles up to fifty microns in size. Thanks to this composition, the paint is viscous and can be used to create a coating with a relief texture. You can choose a paint material that imitates, for example, waves or natural stone. In addition, with its help it is possible to fill microcracks and mask all detected irregularities.

- Repair compound for walls is a special product that should be applied directly to the wall. This mass fills almost any type of unevenness. To make painting easier, we can apply a smooth coating to the mass;
- Smooth plaster - This should be a product specifically designed to remove uneven surfaces.
Rubber paint based on acrylic latex
This is a washable coating that guarantees extremely reliable hydraulic insulation of the base. It can be used to hide defects, for example, plasterboard walls. This will also protect the material and gypsum putty from contact with water.
It is important that such paint is resistant to dry abrasion. Even if clothing touches the wall, the finish will not be damaged, nor will the clothing itself.
